Tip of the Week

In order to pursue an entry level finance job, applicants must first obtain a Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance. A thorough understanding about accounting basics is needed to succeed in the finance field. Applicants must also possess good communications skills - oral and written, and an analytical mind.

Many of the entry level finance jobs involve experience in the accounting field before moving into the finance field. Depending on the firm size and job responsibilities, titles vary from company to company. There are a variety of entry level finance jobs available, and the amount is increasing daily. According to recent Department of Labor Statistics, due to the recent enactment of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) more finance positions are available then ever before. The field, in general, has a positive growth potential.
